Features

Welcome to 51 Douglass. Vintage detailing blends with modern updates to create a warm and inviting escape in this top level, full floor, Victorian residence in a two unit building.

The luxury of tall ceilings, the warmth of a tiled fireplace with crafted mantle, the charm of stained glass and the drama of vintage period lighting create something special to come home to.  Flooded with light and enjoying green outlooks, there is even a peek at Sutro Tower.

An inviting parlor, a large formal dining room, a spacious eat-in kitchen, three bedrooms and one bath on one level. Freshly updated with new wood floors, current colors and soundproofing. This unit also enjoys its own walk out deck off the rear laundry room.

Located just steps to convenient transportation and the shops and eateries in the Castro, this block of Douglass offers a quieter environment without the bustle of cross traffic.

This property is being offered as a tenancy in common interest with an agreement in place.  The current owners have owned the entire building since 2003 and have carefully maintained it. They will remain as co-owners of the building with possession of the lower unit.

Imagine arriving home to your own very San Francisco escape. Welcome home.

Neighborhood

Corona Heights

Corona Heights is a small and affluent neighborhood built into a large hill with quiet streets that surround Corona Heights Park.

Thanks to the elevation of the area, many of the homes have expansive views of the city and the Bay. The streets were created by being cut out of the large hill upon which it is built, originally part of neighboring Buena Vista Park.

The district is primarily residential, but its proximity to Cole Valley, Duboce Triangle and the Castro district offer residents a copious amount of local restaurants, boutique stores, a movie theater, grocers and community activities and events. Within walking distance are the underground transportation lines as well as city buses that run through and along its borders.

Corona Heights Park takes up a large portion of the area at the neighborhood’s northwestern edge. The park boasts panoramic views, a fenced-in dog park, and the famous Randall Museum that is owned and operated by the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department. Families gather at the destination during all hours of operation to explore their rotating science, art, and interactive exhibits. Permanent areas of the museum also offer live animal exhibits, a woodshop, an art and ceramics studio, small theatre, greenhouse, and gardens.

Corona Heights is an exclusive neighborhood with unparalleled views and a mix of housing styles from Victorians to modern homes, single-family style as well as multi-unit.
