A total gem, on a great sunny lot, in a wonderful neighborhood - walk to BART.
This 2 bed 1 bath Mediterranean bungalow is very spacious. Living room, formal dining room, large period kitchen faces and opens onto the back yard via the warmest-coziest sun room you have ever seen (invites you take a nap or read a book on your way outside). Nicely sized bedrooms with ample closet space. All the rooms are flooded in light as the front of the house faces west - and there are lots of windows on all sides. Outside is an expansive yard with a gazebo, stone patio, and separate deck space and with space to spare for what could be a vegetable garden opportunity? Interior garage access is off the back of the kitchen - the garage is plenty tall, offers loads of storage, new furnace and an additional separate workroom to enhance your creative pursuits. Located in a super central El Cerrito neighborhood an easy stroll to Fairmont and Cerrito parks, El Cerrito Plaza and BART.

El Cerrito
El Cerrito means "Little Hill" in Spanish, and the town that is perched on the hill above San Francisco Bay offers rapid access to I-80 into San Francisco, 580 to Marin, and East toward Sacramento. Ascending up the hill from which El Cerrito takes its name, the showplace homes along these curving streets deliver sweeping views of San Francisco, and awesome sunsets over the Golden Gate Bridge. The community is bordered at the top of the hill by Wildcat Canyon Regional Park.
The main shopping corridor of El Cerrito is undergoing a rebirth, beginning with The Cerrito Theater, which was restored from former furniture store to a combination restaurant and movie palace Access to open space and parkland is extensive, with Arlington Park, Cerrito Vista Park, Hillside Natural Area, Huber Park, Poinset Park, and Tassajara Park all nearby. The Ohlone Greenway runs beneath the elevated BART tracks, providing a popular trail with hikers and bikers.
The University of California at Berkeley is just a few miles away, and two BART stations, at El Cerrito Plaza and El Camino Del Norte make commuting easy. Shopping is made simple by El Cerrito Plaza, a major shopping center composed of grocery stores, restaurants, bookstores, a pharmacy and smaller mom-and-pop stores.
