Sycamore Park is arguably one of the most coveted locations in Mill Valley for its sunny tree-lined streets, the family friendly neighborhood and easy access to schools, parks, and downtown. The only rub is that the houses that come up for sale are usually either 900 square foot tear downs or $4 million makeovers. Finally, there is an alternative!

240 Sycamore is a generously sized, updated, 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath home right in the heart of this amazing community.  The floor plan is ideal for family flow with a large formal living room with fireplace and bookcases, a formal dining room with views into the backyard and a large, open kitchen and family room with breakfast nook, fireplace, french doors leading to the outdoors. There is also an office nook and bookcases making this cozy, multi purpose space function for homework, entertaining, relaxing and watching the kids enjoy the backyard while you cook or get some work done. Upstairs are 4 bedrooms, an over-sized master suite with luxurious master bathroom, and the laundry room, all on the same floor. It doesn’t get any more practical than that.

With a spacious two car garage, backyard patio and bbq area, flat lawn and hot tub, you will make many wonderful family memories at this property, and just steps to Sol Food, Taco Joes and Swirl! 240 Sycamore gives families a home that they can grow into rather than grow out of in a few years while being at the center of all the action like the famed Halloween celebrations of Sycamore Park and the Memorial Day parade down Miller. Can you say Norman Rockwell! Get your bike tires pumped and your picnic blankets out of the closet, Sycamore Park is calling your name.

Neighborhood

Mill Valley

Family-friendly Mill Valley is all about schools and sports. Nestled at the foot of Mount Tamalpais, homes in the Marin County city range from 500-square-foot hunter's cabins to multimillion-dollar mansions tucked away on winding, narrow lanes under the redwoods.
Coffee is king in Mill Valley. Downtown, three separate coffee shops do a brisk business. At the Depot, as the sunny town center is called, moms with strollers, kids on tricycles, and teenagers kicking hacky sacks relax in the open-air plaza, which now houses an independent bookstore and cafe. The Depot is also a jumping-off spot for hikers and mountain bikers heading up the slopes of Mount Tamalpais. Nightlife in Mill Valley is anchored by Sweetwater Music Hall, which hosts many well-known musical acts.
As the groomed playing fields at the community center attest, sports are big in Mill Valley, with soccer, baseball, and lacrosse leagues all popular.
