Whispering Oaks Estate

Whispering Oaks Estate is a magnificent private haven that celebrates its location in the heart of Sonoma County’s Wine Country. Superbly located within the prestigious enclave of Shiloh Estates, it consists of approximately 40 majestic acres of oak woodlands and sun splashed meadows teeming with deer, turkey and other natural wildlife. This timeless backdrop provides the perfect setting for the estate and from the moment you arrive through the gated entry it will charm you! Lush landscaping, a captivating view of Mt. Saint Helena and the soothing sound of water greet you.

The main residence is a Frank Lloyd Wright inspired masterpiece designed by famed Laguna Beach architect Daniel Martinez as a lifelong place for family and friends to gather and savor the good life. Nestled among the stately oaks, the 6150+/- square foot home is beaming with unrivaled quality and artisan craftsmanship complemented by exquisite grounds and spectacular sweeping vistas of the renowned Russian River Valley. It has graced both the cover of Extraordinary Homes of California and Trends Magazine – a testament to its stunning architecture and exceptional quality.

The home beckons with large yet intimate and inviting rooms that flow effortlessly into one another and to the outdoors with its gracious, expansive terraces and dazzling infinity edge pool which overlook the endless views.

Of the myriad highlights are the great room with its massive fireplace framed by triple sliding glass doors that open to the outdoors, a state of the art gourmet kitchen that would delight any chef, a temperature controlled wine cellar with 1700+ bottle capacity and a luxurious master suite with fireplace and sitting area - a perfect place to relax and relish the sublime views. Santa Rosa

The largest city in Sonoma county, as well as the county seat, Santa Rosa has experienced rapid growth in the last decade by adding three times the residents that were added in all of Marin during the same period.

Downtown Santa Rosa has grown to match its swelling population, by adding shopping areas, hotels, and medical facilities. Santa Rosa is centered on Courthouse Square, the Comstock pedestrian mall, and an urban greenway featuring trails and a terraced walkway along a creek. No less than five historic neighborhoods including Burbank Gardens, the Railroad Square, West End and Cherry Street give Santa Rosa its quintessential small town residential feel. Old mansions and Victorians can still be found downtown near tree-lined McDonald Avenue, perhaps the most beautiful street in Santa Rosa.

Fountain Grove, Shiloh Estates, and the canyons and hillsides surrounding the town offer the most prestigious homes for sale.  Santa Rosa home prices climb along with the elevation as it rises in the hills to the north and east of town. Homes here are of the gated estate variety, and come with gated drives, acreage, and sweeping views of the valleys below.

Surprising activities in Santa Rosa include the Charles Schultz Museum, dedicated to one of the most famous residents of town who lived here for 30 years, Redwood Ice Arena (built by Schultz) and Safari West, a private African wildlife preserve just outside of town.

There is a growing technology footprint in Santa Rosa with Agilent, and telecom companies creating a high tech corridor along HWY 101. Many residents commute to San Francisco, a trek that has gotten easier thanks to the recent additions of car pool lanes and road-widening in San Rafael.
