Features

Situated within an enclave of twenty Historic homes, 115 Pinole Street embodies the character and charm that can’t be duplicated with today’s newer homes. As one of only three remaining Queen Anne homes from the early 1900’s, this Historic home also carries the distinction of being one of only seven homes in the development that remain on its original site.  These 20 remaining historic homes in Hercules would help to form “Hercules Village” when in the 1980’s each of these historic homes were restored in accordance with the Secretary of the Interior’s Guidelines for Rehabilitating Historic Buildings, thus preserving a piece of history within Hercules.

As you first set your eyes upon 115 Pinole Street, you will be amazed at all the character and charm of this beautiful property.  From the welcoming steps leading you to the front porch or the fish scale shingles in the two gable ends that are characteristic with a Queen Anne style home, it’s easy to get excited for the rest of this home.

When you begin to enter this home, you can imagine all of the history that has stood the test of time.  The detailing within this Queen Anne home is shown early and often with hardwood floors, trim molding, tall baseboards, pocket doors, and spacious ceiling heights.  The front living room is set for comfort and space to relax on any given day.  With its bay window, natural light shines on this open room making it the perfect setting to enjoy with friends or family. As you move towards the back of the home, you set your eyes on a kitchen that brings old world charm but with the modern conveniences you’d expect with newer homes. Two spacious bedrooms, and full bath are also located on the first floor making it convenient to use the living space as you please.

The second level within the main portion of this masterpiece hosts the Master Bedroom and Bathroom, to give you your own private retreat.  Both the master bedroom and bathroom are amplified with natural light from skylights located in these rooms to show that all details have been thought of within this home.

This home would already be considered special if our story ended here, but many great things await as we continue on this home journey.  This home not only has the main living space to enjoy, as there is also an additional living space on the ground level of this Queen Anne home.  This additional space creates endless possibilities with features such as a separate living room, kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom all accessible by it’s own separate entrance.

A magical piece of this Historic home is what you are invited to as you enter the backyard.  This area has been created into a masterpiece for entertaining, gardening, playing, or just relaxing as you take in all that this yard has to offer.  From off the kitchen, the backyard is a place to enjoy dining with company while taking in the scene of the Bay.  The views from the deck just shows how living this close to the San Pablo Bay shoreline is such an amazing feeling.  This yard has something for everyone and is the perfect backdrop for a one of a kind home.

As the last few years have shown, it’s not very often that one of these special homes becomes available.  Only 20 of these Historic Hercules homes remain, and only three are Queen Anne’s. Here’s your chance to own some history in the City of Hercules and make your own memories in this fabulous home!

Neighborhood

Hercules

Hercules is a place on the move. Primarily a suburban, family-oriented community, the town has plans for a new town center and a lively new waterfront. The pedestrian-friendly Historic Town Center will include a mixture of retail, entertainment, office, and residential space. The Hercules Transit Center combines a regional bus station and location for a potential future Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) extension. Hercules is located along the Interstate 80 corridor on the southeastern shore of San Pablo Bay.
The city offers its nearly 25,000 residents: a full range of recreational programs with youth, teen, and adult activities; year-round child care; and community events that attract visitors and locals. The city’s Senior Center provides athletic programs and sponsors day trips. Open-space areas and city parks account for nearly one-third of the total land area within the town and provide dazzling views of the bay.
