Features:
Big, well cared for AND a true 3-bedroom, 2-bath house in a super-convenient South Berkeley location.
This attractive Berkeley home gets plenty of natural light throughout the home. The generous sized family room faces south. Eat-in kitchen integrates easily into the footprint of the house. All three bedrooms are on the main floor – each with ample closet space. Two bathrooms complement this home – one has a vintage deep clawfoot tub, the other is nicely family-sized and faces the backyard. An additional home office space flows out to the large back deck and spacious backyard with veggie boxes and a detached garage. The backyard receives plenty of west light - a key component to any successful bbq.
Upstairs is a partially finished attic with skylights, additional storage and a door off the north side that opens out onto an upper deck. This perfect “get away” space can have many uses – craft room, music area, etc. Plus there is a large unfished attic with plywood floor for all your dry storage needs. The long driveway can easily park three cars.
There is a lot to love in this convenient south Berkeley neighborhood close to the Ashby BART station, Sweet Adeline Bake Shop, the South Berkeley Farmers’ Market (Tuesdays), the 63rd St toddler mini-park, the ever-expansive Grove Park and the new Berkeley Tool Lending Library.

South Berkeley
You can't get closer to the UC Berkeley Campus than Southside, the neighborhood originally developed in the 1860s by UC Berkeley's predecessor, the College of California. That school may be long gone, but the large spacious California brown shingle homes along Allston, Bancroft, Channing, and Dwight remain. Today the 30,000 people living here make Southside the most densely populated neighborhood of Berkeley. Some of the largest and oldest houses in Berkeley are here in Southside, a development of stately homes and gardens.
Southside is a mix, of students and old timers, residential and retail, town and gown. The major thoroughfares are Telegraph, Bancroft, and Alcatraz with street vendors, bookstores, poster shops, and inexpensive eateries catering to students. Nightlife is abundant, thanks to the proximity to campus, Zellerbach Hall, and the Berkeley Downtown Arts District.
The Downtown Berkeley BART Station is a short walk from Southside, and makes short work of the commute into San Francisco.
