This custom Mid-Century home is located in a desirable location of the Belvedere Lagoon with expansive lagoon water, Belvedere Island, and San Francisco skyline views.  Well known San Francisco Architect Harold Wolfard was commissioned to build this home along with the neighboring home.  Wolfard was known for his modern esthetic in his designs, siting the home to capture the best views and an appealing indoor-outdoor open living space. The home maintains its original period elements and details.

Entering through a lovely garden with mature camellias, and seasonal blooming plants welcomes you to the front door.  The living room and dining rooms are framed by floor to ceiling windows with Honduras mahogany paneling that frames the multiple views. The efficient kitchen has Honduras mahogany cabinets with period hardware, tile counters, and new lighting. The family room beckons one to the outdoors through the sliding doors and windows. There are two wood-burning fireplaces one in the living room and one in the family room.

The bedroom wing offers privacy from the public spaces. The spacious master bedroom overlooks the lush garden.  Additionally, there are multiple closets and a tiled bathroom. There are two additional good size bedrooms and a hall bathroom that takes you back to the 1950’s high style.

The side garden with its lush lawn, drought-tolerant vegetation, and paver and concrete patios lead down to the dock. The new dock allows space for the launching of watercraft and access to the lagoon. On weekend racing days it is easy to watch the sailboats races as they come by the home.

There is a two car garage with additional storage space. There is radiant heat throughout the terrazzo floors of the home.

Belvedere
