Built in 1867, the Oriental Warehouse is all that remains in San Francisco of the Pacific Mail Steamship Co., a company that was the first to establish regular mail, passengers and trade service between U.S and the Asia. For a long time, the building located at 650 Delancey served as a storage and distribution center for goods imported from Asia, such as rice, tea and silk. In 1996, it was converted to 66 live/work loft residences.
