Brian Santilena presents:
Every once in a while, a Montclair property stands out over and above all of the rest… This is that home.
Privately set back from the quiet street of Holyrood Drive and wrapped by a verdant display of nature’s beauty the home immediately draws you in to its enormously sunny and private front patio. Of the many lovely attributes of this home… your time on the patio is time VERY well spent. Relax by yourself under the faint scent of jasmine, listen to the birds while reading a book, invite friends over to dine or just share a slice of time. Only by seeing for yourself will you truly be able to appreciate the beauty and quality of this amazing outdoor patio space.
One step up into the main level, through the foyer, you enter a spacious living room with French-doors opening out to the front patio/garden. Several sun-illuminated windows draw the outside in with views of mature redwood trees lining the rear of the property. From every vantage point the trees create a sort of natural drape of greenery. The decks, freshly built, abut a rear patio that offers the second very special outdoor spot. Stop, sit, listen and breathe it in.
Rounding out the remaining areas of the upper level there is a dining room, a true Chef’s-quality kitchen and an open seating area with an island counter that’s flanked by warm colored designer cabinetry, display shelves and loads of storage. Just around the bend is an updated half-bath for you and your guests.
Downstairs is the main living area. In all there are four spacious bedrooms (one as a primary on-suite), another updated hall-bath, a laundry room and… an enormous bonus room to model after anyone’s individual interests. Make into your own movie room, home office, crafts room, guest suite, children’s toy-explosion area, you name it.
Many thoughtful updates have been done to this home. Some apparent to the eye and some resting below the surface. What will not go unnoticed is the overall warmth, spaciousness, and the embracement of nature’s elements. The overall care and quality that has gone into this home is exemplary. Everythign culminates into an experience that is difficult to put into words to but wraps around you as soon as you come through its doors. The only missing element? Is you!

Piedmont Pines is a small, affluent neighborhood located in Oakland, where the median household income is just over $1 million. The largely residential neighborhood of 4,625 residents is occupied by more homeowners than renters. Many homeowners are retirees. The three schools located in Piedmont Pines are Child's Play School, Joaquin Miller Elementary School, and Montera Middle School.
Many consider Piedmont Pines to be a part of the larger Montclair district. Most people take a short drive into Montclair for day-to-day errands to grocery stores, coffee shops, and restaurants.
Local eats are situated just on the outskirts of the neighborhood. These include restaurants such as Italian Colors, D.Monaghan's Oakland, Pattys & Buns Burgers, and Highwire Coffee Roasters. Nearby attractions include Chabot Space & Science Center and Montclair Golf.
Continue down Skyline Boulevard and onto Manzanita Drive where The Hills Swim & Tennis Club awaits. The members-only fitness club offers group fitness classes, Pilates, a large pool, and scenic views of Mt. Diablo.
Piedmont Pines is largely a quiet neighborhood surrounded by redwood forests and grasslands (offering plenty of privacy to its residents). It is admired by many for its slow pace away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
