Sweet and well maintained jewelbox in a prime location of Merced Heights! This charming piece of San Francisco is a beautiful little home and would be a special one to own. Gated entry leads into a small mud area which flows into the living room with wood floors, woodburning fireplace and built in cabinet. Left through the hallway is the front, smaller bedroom with large closet. Off the hallway to the right is a well laid out and updated kitchen. Granite counter tops, oak cabinets, under cabinet lighting and stainless steel appliances are just a few of the niceties coming with this home. Off the kitchen is the larger 2nd bedroom with access to the upstairs bathroom. This sweet bath can be accessed from the bedroom or from the kitchen dining area. French doors off the dining area open to a nice redwood deck which leads to the large and well manicured yard. There is a bonus 2nd bath and 3rd room with views of the brick patio and yard. 2/1 up and 1/1 down. Laundry in oversized garage. Large yard! This home has multiple expansion potential options!

557 Bright Street

Merced Heights is located in the southwestern part of the City and is well known for its hills. Touring through this neighborhood, you're sure to spot plenty of SFSU students notable for their backpacks and book packs. Great views abound thanks to the hilly terrain. It is an emerging area and considered to be a wise investment for the longer-termed buyers.

Perched between Ingleside (east) and Stonestown (west), Merced Heights is a relatively small enclave, and the neighboring districts fill in the gap for shops and restaurants. Two public parks, Merced Heights Playground and Brooks Park, located on Shields Avenue, call Merced Heights their home.

Another worthwhile spot is the Shields Orizaba Rocky Outcrop, an ideal spot to watch the sunset and commune with nature right in the middle of San Francisco, but only if you're willing to make a bit of an uphill trek. While Merced Heights is primarily residential, its close proximity to amenities and easy access keep it among the more desirable locations.
