This highly sought after single story home was built in 1989 by Davidon Homes.  This unique Heritage floor plan sits on over a quarter of an acre of tree-lined, flat land with a desirable court location. The large tree-lined private lot provides a beautiful backdrop for stunning views from the kitchen, living areas and master retreat. The quality of the upgrades with a redesigned kitchen as well as exceptional features provide a home perfect for entertaining, raising a family or simply enjoying your own piece of heaven on earth.

Solid wood french entry doors with leaded glass round windows frame out the impressive foyer entry with marble floors, an over-sized chandelier and vaulted ceilings. The well designed floor plan creates a spacious home with privacy. The den is located at the front of the house overlooking the formal living room with extended views of the backyard. The sophisticated space is created with designer paint, marble floors, plantation shutter and french doors.

The formal living areas draw you in with picturesque views of the backyard.  Designer carpet with a patterned accent, gas or wood burning fireplace with over sized custom white mantel, vaulted ceilings, custom cabinetry with shelving, art display cove with recessed lighting and granite counter, designer paint, plantation shutters and slider to the backyard.

The formal dining room is located next to the formal living room with french doors showcasing the custom kitchen. Vaulted ceilings, plantation shutters, silk curtains, designer carpet with patterned accent, designer paint and glass chandelier create an understated elegance for holidays, dinner parties or simply a special dinner at home.  Views of the wooded backyard add to the special memories and photographs that will be taken in this home.

In 2010 the kitchen was redesigned and the family room and kitchen were remodeled.  Custom Lindsay Cherry cabinets with Ginger and Sable Glaze on the island and Canvas with Cocao Glaze for the surrounding cabinets create an extraordinary experience.  The cabinets are solid wood with mitered door frames and square solid raised panels all are finished with concealed hinges. The cabinets were designed with furniture matching wall end panels, wood door panels for the GE Monogram refrigerator, and details of classic crown, ribbon twist and beaded panel molding.  Two spectacular and different granite slabs accent the two toned cabinet design.  Appliances include a Franke 30" sink with rack, Dacor 6 burner gas cook top range with down draft ventilation, Electrolux double ovens, Electrolux microwave, point of use hot water heater at kitchen sink, KitchenAid dishwasher and KitchenAid trash compactor.  The six and a half foot island with granite slab overhang and wood corbel finish provides for a lovely breakfast bar.  Pendant lighting, under cabinet lighting and the leaded glass doors on the corner cabinets with interior lighting provide the extra finishing touches that truly make this a one of a kind kitchen.  French doors lead to the formal dining room. The large picture windows frame the views of the private tree lined backyard, pool, water fall and gardens.  The extensive windows allow for light to stream into the kitchen and family room.  Hardwood floors, designer paint, vaulted ceilings and recessed lighting extend into the eating nook and family room.  The large open family room overlooks the backyard and has a ceiling fan, plantation shutters and a cozy fireplace with marble surround and custom white mantel. The three secondary bedrooms and full bathroom are located off the family room.  All 3 bedrooms have a plush neutral carpet, plantation shutters and designer paint.  The hall bathroom has dual sinks with a granite slab counter top.  The commode and shower over tub are separate from the sink area providing for privacy.

The luxurious master bedroom suite is privately located behind the formal living room.  French doors welcome you to this stunning retreat.  Exceptional features include hardwood floors with a design wood inlay, plantation shutters, vaulted ceilings and designer paint. Private views and sliding door access to backyard.  The light and bright master bathroom is decorated with tile floors with a marble & wood inlay, dual sinks, large soaking tub and skylight.  The custom designed walk-in shower without doors features a step down threshold and a wall niche for shower supplies. A curved partition contains glass blocks provides privacy.

WoodRanch

Wood Ranch, Danville, California

The majestic WoodRanch Community sits among the southern region of the Mt. Diablo foothills and the southeastern area of Danville.  The rolling foothills of Mt. Diablo create a magnificent scenic backdrop as well as sweeping views of the San Ramon Valley, Mount Diablo and the surrounding East Bay Regional Park open space.  Almost 90 acres of dedicated open space create and inviting buffer between the community, recreational facilities and surrounding hills and valleys. The Sycamore Valley Regional Space Preserve surrounds the attractive and well planned neighborhood.  The area above WoodRanch is called Sherburne Hills and it consists of 106 acres that are dedicated open space with close to 3 miles of hiking trials.   All of the land encompassing WoodRanch and the Sherburne Hills were part of the original Wood Family Farm.  The Wood Family began farming this land in 1862 and in the mid 1980’s The Wood Family sold a portion of their land to the developers of the Wood Ranch Community and donated the rest to East Bay Parks.  Ponderosa Homes developed the homes at the lower section of the community and Davidon Homes developed the homes now referred to as Cimarron Hills at Wood Ranch.  A total of 431 homes were built and today the community is managed by WoodRanch Community HOA.  Their fees are $235 per quarter and include management fees, community pool, spa, tennis courts, and playground and club house.

It is not uncommon to see red-tailed hawks, great-horned owls, California quail, wild turkeys, Northern orioles and acorn woodpeckers and other native species with in the community as Sherburne Hills is almost entirely grassland with scattered oak trees consisting of valley oak, coast live oak and buckeye.
